About the Author: "When I turn the pages in my book of life, a new and unexpected hero arises, my daughter, as she becomes a mother herself." My quotable quote!
About Wanita Coy
How does one summarize their life in a Bio? I am a 52 year-old wife and mother. My husband Dan and I have been together for 27 years, together we have 4 children, one son and three daughters. We also have 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.
I have been a public speaker and trainer for non-profit groups I specialized in subjects like: self-esteem, dealing with difficult personalities, diversity, outdoor survival skills and sensative issues to mention a few. I've worked Social Services, Sales, Public relations and Management.
I graduated in 1972 from Aviation High School in Redondo Beach, California where I was a Business and English major. I have taken some college classes, but most of my education has been hands on in the school of life. We lived in Northern California for 10 years in Nevada City, and have lived in Elko, Nevada since 1987.
My greatest accomplishment, our children claim that we are the greatest parents in the world, I survived the parent game, and lived to tell about it.
My Favorite Quote:
"Women are like tea bags; put them in hot water and they get stronger. "
-- Eleanor Roosevelt
The subjects and people in my book are real. I promised not to use any surnames to protect their identity. I have kept my promise, If they slip up and tell on themselves then they can face the music. All photos posted here will be older photos for that reason, or my children who said they didn't mind that there photo's were posted. Others are of those who have already passed away.
